Smoked Jerk Chicken
We had the most spectacular dinner at Okan. Roderick, our lovely waiter, and his awesome team went through the whole menu with us and made excellent suggestions. Since we were a group of 6 we choose "family style" which I highly recommend. We started with all three breads (AMAZING), the croquettes, octopus, and mushrooms. Beyond delicious. Had the whole grilled snapper, goat, smoked jerk chicken, oxtails, gumbo, and a plantain lasagna dish that I can't remember the name of! Every bite was so good. Great cocktails and wonderful African wines- all very reasonably priced! What a treat to have such delicious food- thank you for a wonderful meal and great service! Can't wait to come back next to celebrate my birthday ?
Jackson's Bara
Delicious, crispy and sweet. I love the texture and it tastes fresh through out. Definitely not your typical "cinnamon roll" breakfast element - this is unique and flavorful! A must try

Easily my favorite vegan dish at Okan! Always warm and comforting. I order this with some tofu on top and it is just incredible!!

Berebere Octopus
My husband and I ate at Okan for the first time this week. Dinner was amazing. We started with the Berebere Octopus. The octopus was cooked to perfection - moist and not chewy - and the seasoning was delicious. We shared the Pork Shank and fish of the day for dinner. The unicorn fish was moist and flavorful. The pork shank was also cooked to perfection. The sauce and spices really complemented the dish. Service was superb. We can't wait to go back.
